Commentary: I agree with Garret completely. Drinking is an embarrassment and I also think that Christians should stick to their religious rules and do what is right, and underage drinking isn’t right. So to all the people who say Jesus drank, as Garret says, yes he did but if he was here today he would probably drink tap water.

Analysis: Garret Mize is an author from College Publish Network so he has good credentials. He also knows what he is saying because everything he says is true. He is using ethos because he is trying to get people to use good moral character. I think if people read this article then it will bring up emotions too. So he could also be using pathos.

Summary:The author of “Reducing Underage Drinking: Surgeon General Issues Call for Action” analyzes this highly debated issue: underage drinking. He begins by saying many parties are happening and they are often soaked in alcohol, but they sometimes end in trajedy. An example of this is “… the TV news reports are haunting, showing footage of young tearstained faces looking in shock at accident scenes…”(Reducing) He also talks about how young kids are when they start drinking, “Studies also show that kids often have their first taste before age 12.”(Reducing)

Commentary:I agree in some ways and disagree in others with what the author is sayiing. I agree because most kids under 21 aren’t very responsible. But I disagree because if you are old enough to vote and you are old enough to die for your country at war then you should be considered old enough to drink alcohol.

Analysis:The author of this article sounds credible because he works for Amednews.com which is a paper for America’s physicians. This is an example of pathos because he is trying to raise emotion about the subject.
